No Time To Traditional Shave?
It's never made sense to me why so may guys would hang onto their cartridge razor when you can have a superior shaving experience for less. Part of it is probably we're creatures of habit as human beings and slow to make a change. However, many times guys make the mistake of believing shaving with a Traditional Safety Razor is going to just take too darn long.
On average, it never takes me more than 5 to 10 minutes to shave with a Safety Razor, unless I want it to. I usually already have a blade loaded and I keep my shaving brush and cream in the same bathroom of the house. The length of time it takes me to shave is determined by me. On a Saturday morning, I might feel like the full experience of warming up my face with a towel, applying a pre-shave gel and going through the entire ritual, slowly, enjoying the experience for nothing more than the experience itself.
On other days I might be in a bit more of a hurry. Maybe there's a meeting I have to get ready for and only have a limited time. Personally, I don't find I need to prepare my face any more than when I used a cartridge razor, yes I may lather up again and do a second pass, but the amount of time this adds to my overall shave isn't going to make a difference to whether I get to a meeting on time. If a second pass with my safety razor is going to make me late for a meeting, I would have been late anyway so what's the difference?
